Angelina is ready for her birth – with a brand new birth kit!

Angelina was one of the 40 Achuar women who attended Jungle Mamas’ Safe Birth and Family Health Workshop. The workshop was a great success with the highest attendance and participation rate thus far. Angelina and her friends live in the jungle region of Ecuador, where births are commonly solitary, medicinal-free experiences.

By attending this workshop, Angelina now feels confident in bringing her new baby into this world under the safest conditions and wants to continue learning about women’s and community healthcare. Angelina is considering becoming a local birth attendant so she can help others in similar situations as herself.
