Blanca can have a safe and normal birthing experience

IMG_7579
Dear Jibu,

Blanca is expecting her baby shortly and she luckily got to attend our Safe Birth and Family Health workshop before her upcoming birth. Blanca is from a rural community in the jungle of Ecuador. It is custom for women of indigenous nationalities to give birth alone in the rainforest.

Through Jungle Mamas’ workshops (that could only have been provided with your support) we intend to inform women who live in the Amazon about safe birth, women’s and community health and well-being, human reproduction, and family planning to get community members more actively participating in their own health decisions. More importantly we aim to do this in the most natural and least invasive manner without disrupting their ancestral ways of life.

Blanca was pleased to receive her birth kit and the knowledge she absorbed through the workshop. Without your help and support, Jibu, Blanca would have much lower chances of a safe and normal birth. Thank you, Jibu, for helping Jungle Mamas educate and aid Blanca. She will be forever grateful.
