Vilma and her husband attend the workshop in Tsunkintsa

Dear Joseph and Michael,

Vilma is an 18 year old mother living in Tsunkintsa, a village in Ecuador. She is currently pregnant with her second child. Vilma attended the Safe Birth and Family Health workshops hosted by Jungle Mamas with her husband. She was moved by what she learned in the workshops and happy to share it with her husband. This particular workshop was a new chapter in Jungle Mamas’ work because it was the first workshop in history that was facilitated by Achuar men and women.

Vilma most enjoyed the section of the workshop when the Achuar facilitators discussed how showing love and respect among the father and mother improves overall growth and health of the baby within the mother. Thanks to your donation, Joseph and Michael, Vilma is now assured that the birth of her second child will be a safe one!
